The Western Association of Schools
and Colleges (WASC) periodically reviews schools to determine if the
schools provide a program which supports student achievement. The
accreditation is based on a school report that reviews how the school is
performing in relation to several defined themes. Examples of these
themes are: vision, leadership, student support, student achievement,
and school climate. Santa Cruz High School completed its Six-Year
